Guelph's Award Winning Choir


Mission Statement:

The objective of the Guelph Children Singers is to provide a children's choir for instruction, practice and performance of choral music. We also aim to educate and promote the public appreciation for the aesthetic arts by providing choral music performances. We are committed to providing educational forums like choral workshops for choir members, enhancing their musical appreciation and education.


A Brief History of the Guelph Children Singers.

Guelph Children Singers has become a high profile representative for the City of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, in the field of choral music. This charitable organisation was founded in 1991 by the Guelph Arts Council to provide children from 8 through 18 with an opportunity to experience a professional level of musicianship. The muscial ability of over 100 members who are the Guelph Children Singers has been noted in the Guelph Kiwanis Festival where they have received the City of Guelph Trophy every year of their existence. Weekly instruction includes vocal technique, theory and sight singing. This is augmented with workshops by guest clinicians in drama and movement. Guelph Children Singers will perform up to ten major concerts this season in addition to workshops, festival, corporate, community and guest performances. Membership is by audition.
